HPA Commemorative History

Hull Pottery Association (HPA) Commemoratives were first produced in 1995. They are available for purchase by members only and are made in limited number. They are only available once and are not produced again. Members are asked for input on the next year’s commemorative selection and after the recommendations are narrowed down to three, members are asked to vote for their favorite. A local pottery is then contracted to produce the piece. Commemoratives must be ordered by June 15^th and are available for delivery in July of each year. Cost varies according to the piece and production costs. Shipping is available to those unable to attend the National HPA Show & Sale in Crooksville, Ohio. Listed below are the past commemoratives by year, the quantity produced and original cost per piece.

The 2012 Hull Pottery Association (HPA) Commemorative

The 2012 HPA Commemorative is currently being produced by Heritage Stoneware of Crooksville, Ohio and can be ordered until July 1^st 2012. The 2012 HPA Commemorative is made after the Hull Camellia (Open Rose) Basket, “142-6 ¼” and is done in pink. A picture of this piece is shown above. The quality, colors and glaze of this piece are excellent and should make a welcome addition to any collection. Commemorative sales is the primary fund raiser for the HPA and is crucial for the fiscal stability of the organization. It will allow HPA to continue to be able to fund the national and regional shows. The Commemoratives are available to current HPA members only and each member is encouraged to purchase the 2012 Commemorative in support of the organization’s efforts to keep the heritage of the Hull Pottery Co. alive for generations to come. Past Hull Pottery Company employees (honorary HPA members) may also order a commemorative. Roseville , Ohio 43777 Membership verification will be done via the membership data base. Cost of the 2012 Commemorative is $55 (limit two per member/employee). The commemorative can be picked up at the Crooksville Show or shipped to you. If being shipped to you, please add $10 to your check for shipping & handling of each commemorative.
